PuTTY is a free software client for SSH, Telnet and Rlogin network protocols. In simple terms, it is a remote connectivity solution, sending commands to any chosen Windows machine and displaying at the end user the results of those actions. One of the lightest solutions of its kind, this remote desktop tool also includes SCP and SFTP clients. Using this application means having some knowledge on command-line functions. That being done, secure file copy, file transfers and several other features respond quite fast and work reliably with no crashes whatsoever. The option list closes with a RSA and a DSA key generation utility.
