AIMP is a multimedia audio player. It offers a nice blend of being lightweight while giving playback that is high quality. If you need a way to play your favorite songs repeatedly, and you like to customize your experience, then this ould be a great bet.
Quite frankly, there are a lot of players out there. Some of them don’t always offer the most useful features. AIMP, however, does a great job of balancing the kinds of features that users need, along with a good looking UI.
Now, you can have things going on in the background and not be interrupted. Previously, it would interrupt your operation. Any unused groups will automatically collapse if you click on the option. And there is incremental search, making it faster.
This is a lightweight application. We had no issues running it on a standard PC. This even includes everything like skins and new features.
Some multimedia players are a pain to download and set up. That wasn’t the case with this. It only required a few steps.
It supports a ton of formats, which our testers were delighted to see. Among them are: WAV, TTA, WMA, RMI, OPUS, OGG, M3U, MAC, FLAC, AAC, and MP3.
Being able to convert your media to a different format is almost a must today. For instance, you might want to turn that FLAC into an MP3, so it is a smaller file that fits on your phone. There is a context menu that lets you manage your playlist and files. You can create tags so that they are easier to find in the future. You can save the audio to a certain list and create new playlists. You might want to shuffle or even repeat the playlist. If so, there is no problem. This is something that any modern player should include. Luckily, this one does.
There is an integrated equalizer. Sometimes, you just want to hear that great bass in your favorite rock riff. Or perhaps you prefer a roomier sound and want to bust out the reverb. Either way, you can customize your equalization to hear more of your favorite frequencies.
It is not often that our reviewers are as impressed as they were with AIMP. Typically, media players have a few key features but lack customization and ease of use. This software seems to combine all of our favorite features without being challenging to install or use. If you need to play your audio files on your PC, this is an excellent choice.
