7-Zip

7-Zip is an Open Source compression tool that works best with 7z format archives. Whereas the highest compression ratio is ensured with 7z format, results are depended upon the data type being archived. In addition to this, the 7z compression format ratio is up to 70% better than the zip compression can provide. While the same zip format is also compatible with this compression tool, supported formats vary from XZ, BZIP2, GZIP, TAR (packing and unpacking) to CAB, DEB, FAT, ISO, MBR, MSI, NTFS, RAR, UDF, XAR (unpacking only). Packing the mentioned formats is up to 10% more efficient than other solutions can do. Encryption is possible through AES-256 algorithms.
